We are the Underwoods, a family of 5 (soon to be family of 6), and we own and operate a first-generation regenerative farm located in Downsville, LA.  We raise grass-fed beef, pasture raised broiler chickens, forest pork, and pasture raised eggs.

Our farming journey began in 2018 with a goal to provide nutrient rich, humanely raised food for our children.  We fell in love with the farming lifestyle and how clearly God is seen in nature, and quickly realized how passionate we are for the animals we raise and the soil we raise them on.  Our desire is to bridge a gap for people who are not able to have a hand in raising the food they consume, so we decided to share our passion for healing the land and nutrient rich foods with our community. That’s where our slogan “Building Soil & Feeding Souls” came from!

Our aim is to build a close-knit community that loves nutrient rich food and are conscious about the treatment of the animals that they eat and the soil that they are raised on.
